Take a peak at my services and see which fits your needs. I’m just as happy to teach you the fundamentals as I am to get that audit done for you.
Building from Scratch
Creating your website yourself can be an overwhelming experience. Not only are you putting yourself out there, but you need to do it using tools and language many entrepreneurs aren’t familiar with. Let me guide you in determining what should go on your website, where it should go and how to organize all.the.things.
I teach you how to:
- Create clear and authentic copy
- Determine what you want your website to do for you and your clients
- Make your website easy to use for your clients
- Create a framework for your website pages (no need for tech here)
- Bring it all together so you can build your new site with strong copy, content and an easy flow
- Organize your copy, images and other content to be ready to share with your team
Stop feeling bad about how long your website has been sitting on your to do list. Join a group of supportive entrepreneurs that will give you accountability, some new found energy and a plan to get things done. The skills you learn while creating your new copy and easy-to-navigate website plan will be helpful for this version of your site and all your future updates.
By the end of the course, you will have:
- A solid foundation of your website content and flow before you make any tech decisions (all of this can be done before you even have your website name!)
- Copy you can use in multiple aspects of your marketing, like social media and sales pages
- Familiarity with the language of websites so you can communicate better what you want from a developer or know what to search for when building it yourself
- A feeling that you have put your “big girl” pants on and take yourself, and your business, seriously
Leveling Up
There comes a time when your calibre of service is higher than the the quality of your current website. Out dated photos (I see you with that wedding headshot!), content that’s no longer relevant or correct, can deter potential clients from reaching out. If this is you, I’d love to provide my signature website audit to make that website of yours a business-building asset again.
The audit service includes:
- A review of all copy for consistency, appropriateness for your target client and ways to strengthen your branding
- Identification of opportunities for improving conversion based on how people use websites and how they decide where to look and click
- A review all images for quality and consistency, attention paid to diversity and inclusion
- A check that all links work properly
- Suggestions for how information should be organized
My audit results in a prioritized and actionable list of updates you know you needed and those you didn’t. You can take on the edits yourself or hand them off to your developer.
Fixing it Up
You thought your designer really heard your needs and requests for your brand spanking new website. But, what you got isn’t anything close to what you expected or paid for. Here’s where I come in. After you take a deep breath, we talk about what you need your website to do for your business, how you hoped it was going to turn out and how the new site isn’t meeting those goals.
Then, I audit your new site, looking for:
- Copy and design consistency with your target client in mind
- Opportunities to improve your conversion rate based on how people use websites and how they decide where to look and click
- Quality and consistency of images and graphics
- Properly working links and buttons
- Easy to use navigation (how easy it is for people to find things)
I will articulate all the things you don’t know how to say about images, user flow, design and copy in a report. You can use it to give independent, constructive feedback to your designer to get you the website you dreamed of. Saves you time and your sanity, because you have other more important things to be doing for your business.
If it turns out you need to take your site to another developer, that’s OK too. This report will be a great tool in better communicating your goals for your site and can save you some moolah, as you won’t be starting from scratch.
